Domaine St Marc Sauvingnon, VDP D' oc, France-2006
An intense citrus nose with hints of pear following onto the palate with plenty of mouth watering acidity.

Pinot Grigo, Storie di Vite, Italy-2006
Displaying an abundance of fresh lemon zest and passion fruit flavours followed by a soft and fragrant bouquet with a lively, vibrant yet dry and elegant finish.

Flying Griffen Chenin Blanc, South Africa-2007
Produced from old bush vines with low yields harvested at optimum ripeness. Fermented with specially selected yest adding to the complexity and mouth feel of the this style of Chenin Blanc.

Beelgara Estate Chardonnay, Australia-2006
A fruit driven nose of lychee and pomergranate with definte lime characters. The lively palate has good fruit flavour balanced by soft, subtle oak and fresh acidity with a long lasting and satisflying finish.

Jacque Lurton, Pinot Gris, Argentina-2007
Rounded and compelex, very clean and fresh on the palate with a delightful after taste and well proportioned fruit, acidity and good all round richness.

Conway Hills Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand-2007

Red wines

Domaine St Marc, Syrah, VDP D' oc, France-2006
Syrah is the old world name for Sihraz. A noble variety producing dark, complex, long-lived wines with powerful, rich berry flavour.

Douglas Green, Pinotage, South Africa-2005
A cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, combining the noble characteristics of the former with the reliability of the latter. Unique to South Africa, it produces complex and fruity wines with age but is also very drinkable when young.

Beelgara Estate, Shiraz, Australia-2006
With aromas of ripe plum fruit with hints of spice and subtle French oak. Soft tannins and ripe fruit flavours combine to give depth and lenght on the palate.

Jacque Lurton, Malbec, Argentina-2006
Bags of ripe berry and cherry fruit characters with ripe , spicy aromas. Supple, not overly fruity, with a rich, velvety texture.

Darien Tempranillo, Rioja, Spain-2005
The greatest and most famous varietal of Spain where it is grown in many regions under almost as many synonyms. With intense, tart redcurrant aromas and a hint of liqourice.

Trivento, Pinot Noir, Argentina-2007
With distinctive Pinot Noir characters of sour cherries and suede leather. Smooth and dry rather than overly fruity, a surprisingly well balanced and elegant wine.

Fleurie-Chateau De Fleurie, Loron et Fils, France-2005
The epitome of a Beaujolias Cru. A garnet coloured wine from 100% Gamay grapes. A fresh, foral and fragrant style with a foral nose of iris and violets, a full fruity palate and a long, elegant finish.

Chateau Teyssier, Saint Emillion Grand Cru, Bordeaux-2003
Ripe berry fruit, blackberries and plums, spices and hints of a oak and vanilla on the nose. A rich, fruity palate with silky well rounded tannins and superb volume leads to a long, seductive finish.



Sparkling Wines

Beelgara Cuvee Brut, Australia
Crisp pink lady apple and pink grapefruit aromas introduce this fresh and simple sparkling wine. Apple and citrus flavours extend onto the palate and are enhanced by zingy acidity and aslight hint and fresh, this is perfect for any occassion.



Champagnes

Raoul Collett Carte Noire Brut France
A blend of 40 seperate crus with 100% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 65% Pinot Meunier. With body and substance, it is a warm golden colour with an intense, almost amber hue. Initial impression are of spices, fresh butter and ripe wheat. On the palate it is vinous, powerful and robust.

Laurent Perrier Brut
Laurent Perrier has become one of the great champagne name by achieving a consistently high standard. A pale golden colour with fine citrus notes in the bouquet, confirmed on the palate, followed by a slight yeastiness and some biscuit flavours. Like all good champagne it has an exhilarating finish. A blend of 45% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier.

Laurent Perrier Rose
A pale rose colour with fine citrus notes like all good champagne it has an exhilarating finish.

"What a Great Find"
What a fantastic guest house! My wife and I stayed at Kemp's for three nights in January 2009 and had the most fantastic stay. Kemp's is truly excellent and has recently been refurbished to a very tasteful and high standard. Our room was very clean, modern and spacious and the king sized bed very comfortable.

"Great for a wheelchair"
We chose Kemp's because it was described as wheelchair friendly and it truly lived up to its name. The staff were marvelously helpful and friendly and "hands-on management" was evident everywhere. Our room in the new building was spotlessly clean and very large, with plenty of space for maneuvering a wheelchair.

"Excellent Break, Food was fantastic"
My Partner and I stayed at Kemp's Country House for 2 nights and were extremely pleased with our stay. Kemp's has been recently reopened under new management. Everything was clean and smelt new. The bed we had was very spacious and extremely comfortable. We traveled around the coast which is not far. Ideal for heading to the seaside in the summer months. We could not fault the food we had, it was delicious.
