Corfe Castle

20 minutes from Kemps Country House is the picturesque Village of Corfe Castle and its Castle ruins, dating back 600 years This village and Castle is a wonderful place to see in summer or winter.

Chapmans Pool

Kemps Country House is situated within sight of the Purbeck Hills and close to the Jurassic Coast with its splendid walks. “Chapmans Pool” – a 30 minute drive from Kemps Country House - is one of the many superb views on this coastline.

Swanage

The Isle of Purbeck in Dorset has a lot to offer the visitor with many places to see and things to do. The wonderful seaside town of Swanage with its view of Old Harry’s Rock is just a 30 minute drive from Kemps Country House.

Kimmeridge

Kimmeridge Bay, a great place to hunt for fossils, is only 20 minutes drive from Kemps Country House. Clavell Tower, perched on the cliffs, has recently been moved stone by stone from the cliff edge and totally rebuilt.

Lulworth Cove

The beautiful village of Lulworth Cove, 30 minutes from Kemps Country House, is a great place to start your Jurassic Coast walk. The daily “catch” of this attractive fishing village is supplied to local pubs and restaurants in the Purbeck area.

Wareham

Only 5 minutes from Kemps Country House is the pretty Saxon market town of Wareham nestling between the Rivers Frome and Piddle. The Saturday morning quayside market is definitely worth a visit with many interesting stalls and numerous cafes.

Monkey World

Kemps Country House is only 10 minutes drive from the famous Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre which was the setting for the TV Series Monkey Business. A “must” visit for anyone staying at Kemps!
