Bar and Lounge
This beautifully refurbished Victorian rectory also affords our discerning visitors to enjoy an aperitif on the Garden Terrace in the warm summer months, or to relax by the roaring log fire in the winter; once again the completely renewed lounge and bar encourages you to relax and savour the comfort that has been lavished on this lovely Kemps Country House.
"What a Great Find"
What a fantastic hotel! My wife and I stayed at Kemps for three nights in January 2009 and had the most fantastic stay. This hotel is truely excellent. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very tasteful and high standard. Our room was very clean, modern and spacious and the king sized bed very comfotable.
"Great for a wheelchair"
We chose this hotel because it was described as wheelchair friendly and it truly lived up to its name. The staff were marvellously helpful and friendly and "hands-on management" was evident everywhere. Our room in the new building was spotlessly clean and very large, with plenty of space for manoevring a wheelchair.
"Excellent Hotel, Food was fantastic"
My Partner and I stayed at Kemps Country House for 2 nights and were extremely pleased with our stay. The hotel has been recently reopened under new management. Everything was clean and smelt new. The bed we had was very spacious and extremely comfortable. We travelled around the coast which is not far. Ideal for heading to the seaside in the summer months. We could not fault the food we had, it was delicious.
